Meet Claire!

Claire Vock is a multi-hyphenate theatre artist based in Milwaukee, WI. After many years of performing in her youth, her primary focus is as a theatre educator with additional experience as a choreographer, director, and costume designer. Claire received her Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts with a Minor in Dance from Taylor University in 2023. Currently, she’s part of the Emerging Professional Residency program at Milwaukee Repertory Theater as their Education and Engagement Resident. Before joining the team at Milwaukee Rep, she was the Head Theater Director at Mukwonago High School where she co-directed Godspell and directed Murder on the Orient Express. She also served as the Summer Program Coordinator for Be Student Center, a non-profit afterschool program for secondary-aged students.
Claire has a passion for movement and ensemble based theater. Her training in dance, Viewpoints, and Playback Theatre have led her to focus her choreography and directing on strong compositions and emotional expression through the body. Some of her favorite choreography credits include luminescence, a contemporary dance show she created as her Senior Capstone during undergrad and Sense and Sensibility at Taylor University.
Claire also served as the Costume Shop Supervisor during her time in college, fostering a love for costume design that she has never left behind. Some of her design credits include Noises Off, Macbeth, Cosi Fan Tutte, and The Women of Lockerbie
In her free time, Claire enjoys reading, exploring new coffee shops, thrifting, and playing the piano. At the end of the day, she credits everything she has, both physically and as an artist, to the Lord. All Glory to God.
